Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

At Slice of Joy, every cake is freshly baked with care and crafted especially for you. Because our products are perishable and made-to-order, we follow a limited refund and replacement policy.

If you experience any issue with your order, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup. Requests made after this period may not be eligible for review.

Eligibility for Refund or Replacement

Refunds or replacements may be considered under the following conditions:

There is a quality or freshness issue

  • You received the wrong cake or wrong flavor
  • The cake arrived damaged or in poor condition
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

To process your request, we require:

  • Order number or proof of purchase
  • Clear photos of the product showing the issue
  • Request submitted within 24 hours

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

Due to the nature of our products, the following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Custom or personalized cakes
  • Cakes that have been fully or partially consumed
  • Same-day cancellation orders
  • Promotional or discounted items

Food items, once delivered, cannot be physically returned for hygiene and safety reasons.

Refund Process

Once your request is received, our team will review the details and contact you within 1–2 business days.

If approved:

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

Replacements

We only replace items if they are damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Approved replacements will be scheduled for the next available delivery slot.

Order Cancellations

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

  • Orders can be cancelled up to 24 hours before delivery
  • Same-day cancellations are not eligible for refunds
  • Custom cake orders cannot be cancelled once production has started

Shipping & Delivery Issues

If a delivery delay or damage occurs due to courier handling, we will coordinate with the delivery partner and assist you with the best possible solution.
